OUR MISSION
Our mission together through Jesus Christ is to nurture, inspire, and support ourselves and each other in our daily lives through worship, fellowship, education, and service so that we may reflect God's love and grace in our homes, our community and the world.
We affirm the freedom and responsibility of each individual and the right of personal judgment in matters of faith, and subscribe to the following statement as a testimony to but not a test of our faith- click here for the United Church of Christ's (our denomination) Statement of Faith.

Here together we explore the meaning of the Spirit-led life. We strive together to deeply connect with our Source and come to know God as our Creator, our Healer, our Strength, and our Salvation.
In an atmosphere of openness, kindness and joy all are welcome to join us on this quest, whether you have a strong faith, lots of questions, great doubt, or the sense that there "might be more to life". Wherever you are on the journey, we invite you to join us.

OUR COMMUNITY
FCC is a spiritual home to people from ages, walks and stations of life, as well as a range of backgrounds and faith perspectives.
In our worship, we draw on a variety of Christian traditions, from ancient to contemporary.
Through programs of service, outreach, education, and fellowship, we strive to be part of God’s work of renewing the world.
In all things, we rely upon the healing, unconditional love and grace of God to be our Help and Guide.

We welcome all people who seek a deeper spiritual journey with God.
Belief at FCC is best understood as a way of living, rather than as something imposed on you.
Faith is not a fixed end-point, but a process of sojourning with God, by which we are continually transformed to be more like Christ.
As we seek to model our own lives after the life of Jesus, this way of living finds expression in the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

We seek to be an expression of God’s Love in the world, to provide a place for all people to worship God, serve God and humanity, and grow in faith and fellowship.
All persons are created in God’s image and are loved, valued, and blessed equally by God. Following the example of our Savior Jesus Christ, the First Congregational Church of Gardner is an open and affirming congregation who seeks to welcome all persons, including those of all races, ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, family structures, faith backgrounds, abilities and economic circumstances.
